  Two of our values at Northeast are Every Believer should pursue Continuous Life Change and Spiritual Growth; and Smaller Groups are valuable in producing life change
  
  At Northeast, these smaller groups are called Growth Groups. They are designed to help you experience spiritual growth and continuous life change in the environment of a smaller group. It is a place where you will be accepted for who you are and encouraged to grow spiritually. It is a place where you can grow in your faith, while sharing and connecting with others.
  
  Growth Groups include both on and off-campus groups that meet seven days a week - short and long term.

  The Worship Team is a group of experienced and talented people who have a high standard of excellence with a desire to guide people to encounter Jesus in a fresh way each weekend. We are committed to Northeast Christian Church and hold our responsibility as a worship team member seriously because of the impact we can have on people’s opinion of Christ and His church. We believe this is true on or off the stage. Therefore we make a personal commitment to be growing more like Jesus in our daily lives. This ministry is made up of four teams, consisting of a full band, sopranos, altos and tenors. Rehearsals are on Thursdays.
  
  You are asked to come prepared with one worship song that we currently use at Northeast plus a song of your choosing. We have immediate needs for drummers and keyboard players.

  Women - SET FREE WALKING Group

  Ladies, come join us on Monday mornings as we begin walking to help us stay healthy! Come with a girlfriend, or come and make some new friends! We will wrap up with a time of encouragement!
  
  This group will begin Monday, May 21, 9:30 a.m., meeting at the Main Oldham Country Library. Address is: 308 Yager Avenue, LaGrange, KY 40031.
  
  We will start out with a quick word, then we will begin our walk on Commerce Parkway (a walk, jog, bike trail). The first time we meet, we will start with a 30 minute walk out, then turn and walk 30 minutes back to the library parking lot. We will slowly build up to walk longer distance. If someone feels they can’t complete the walk, they can return to the library at any time for comfortable seating and even coffee or soda while they wait for the group to return.

  Beyond Belief is a class for elementary aged children 3rd-5th grade who are interested in taking their next step spiritually. Perhaps your child has expressed an interest in baptism or asking Jesus into their heart. This class will walk through the steps of developing a personal relationship with God.   Elementary Camp - SHINE

  June 3 - 8 or July 22 - 27 at White Mills Camp in White Mills, Kentucky
  
  Northeast is sponsoring (2) identical weeks of summer camp at White Mills. The dates are June 3-8 and July 22-27. The July week will fill up first, so if that is your first preference, you need to register for camp immediately. Last summer, we were full by mid April. Northeast kids will be at both weeks, as will several other Northeast staff and volunteers.

  June 11 - 16 in Knoxville, Tennessee
  
  MOVE is a 5-day high school only event held all over the country, designed to amplify the call of Christ on students lives to become Kingdom workers.
  
  Located on college campuses across the nation, Move provides a program for 25,000 high school students every summer. Students are challenged through intense, interactive worship, dynamic preaching, small group study, and community building. Students at Move not only learn and worship together but also spend quality time with their church youth group, discovering ways that God will use them to be a greater help to the world.

  Marriage Ministry

  The Marriage Ministry exists to strengthen and encourage the marriages at Northeast through Christ centered relationships.
  
  Followers of Christ who are all in are also all in with their marriages. We believe that in a healthy marriage, a husband and a wife and God create a 3 sided triangle with God as the head. As a couple grow closer to God, they grow closer to each other. We provide environments where couples can learn and mature, not only in their marital relationship, but also in their walk with Jesus Christ. Individual time for couples to work one- on -one on their marriages is vital, but so are chances to share that experience with others. Couples who value their marriages make it a priority and we give them opportunities to do so in various settings - whether through Growth Groups, Date Night, Coupletime, Marriage Mentoring or concentrated retreat time.

  We want to equip our men with the tools they need to develop into men of integrity. We strive to assist them as they continue on their journey to becoming more godly men, husbands, fathers and leaders. We also want to help men learn how to balance work and family life, build stronger marriages, become better fathers, grow spiritually, and enjoy Christian fellowship.
  
  There are study groups designed to encourage men to grow in their faith in Christ. We also have an resources page with helpful links for you. Men meet other guys with common interest and can connect with other believers in a Life Group. We also provide opportunities to serve and reach our community for Christ through Serve Ministries and X-focused Ministries. Be a part of God's work!   Dive into the mystery, awe and excitement that still surrounds a man who lived 2000 years ago. Every country that now exists or once did is because of what people believe to be true about this one teacher.
  
  Mix will spend 4 days looking at Jesus’ transition into ministry. He had recently come down off the mountain where he was tempted by Satan. He gathered a few new apostles and the very next story, found in each witness account, is this huge public gathering. The things the Rabbi said that day had never before been spoken by a man. They are as startling today as they were then. Your students will come face to face with this mysterious man, this teacher as bold as God, this Rabbi on the hillside where heaven and earth collide.

  Let the Prayer Celebrations begin! A monthly celebration happens in the student auditorium on the second Wednesday of each month. Join us for an hour of worship, teaching and creative prayer led by the prayer team and Pastoral Care Minister Jay Close.
  
  This will be appropriate for anyone high school age or older. For anyone with specific prayer needs, prayer team members will be available at the end of the service to pray with you.

  Tennis Ministry

  We are excited to announce the creation of a new Tennis Ministry at Northeast. This is a recreational opportunity that will also include a brief devotion/Bible study time.
  
  We will play at the courts at E.P. "Tom" Sawyer State Park. The cost is $30 per player per six-week session. The first session begins on Wednesday, June 6 at 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm.
  
  All levels are welcome and we will seek to pair you with others on a similar playing level.
