When did you first start attending Northeast and why did you stay? January 2011.

What or who inspires you? My parents- they have amazing faith.

What's your idea of a perfect day? A perfect day is 90 degree weather with clear skies at the beach with family and friends and then staying for the sunset with a bonfire and a barbecue.

What was your first step in getting involved at Northeast?  Getting hired

Your biggest indulgence? chocolate

What do you think makes a good leader, someone that you'll follow? Someone who has integrity.

What has God been teaching you lately? God has been teaching me to fully rely on him with every part of my life. I’ve learned it’s a lot harder to do than say.

If you could ask God one question, what would it be? What’s the purpose of Love Bugs? (it’s a Florida thing- Google it)

If you could be on a reality TV show, what would it be? Amazing Race... it’s still a dream!

What or who makes you laugh? My family. I think Justin and Ethan were born with the same sense of humor. The two of them leave me laughing for hours.

What is your nickname, and how did you earn it? KarKey. When I was little my sister couldn’t say my name. Then apparently my entire family also couldn’t say it so that is my name to my family....and when I say “family” I mean parents, siblings, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins...etc. (you see where this is going)

What are two things always in your fridge? Milk and ice cream.

In a few short lines, here is my faith story... I’ve been in church since I was 2 weeks old. I have learned in the more recent years what it means to fully rely on God. More times than I would like to acknowledge, I try to depend on myself and not God. God has really worked on me the past few years in trusting him with every step that I take. I am still learning, but I am getting better. I love that God’s love is unconditional.

What is your favorite...

*     Bible verse? Jeremiah 29 11,13 “For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord... plans to give you hope and a future... You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart”

*     Time of day? When everyone gets up in the morning and it’s busy, loud and crazy and then when all the kids go to bed and the house is quiet.

*     Movie? 13 going on 30, It’s a Wonderful Life

*     Childhood TV show? Alf, Who’s the Boss *     Websites? Facebook, whatisorange.org, parenting.com and www.foodnetwork.com

Describe your job at Northeast, and why you love what you do. I am in charge of the the birth-5th grade children’s productions. I help make all the technology work as well as work with the volunteers in those areas. I love working with volunteers and with children...it’s the best of both worlds.

How long have you been working at Northeast? as of January 11th ....it will be 1 day :o)

Retirement dream? I don’t know if that’s a possibility

What was your first job? McDonalds drive thru girl.

What's one goal you have for the next year? For our family to adjust to a new city.

Name 3 things on your 'bucket' list. finish my RN, swim with Dolphins, travel to Europe.

Describe your family (Don't forget pets!)  Justin and I have been married for 10 years and have 3 kids (Emma-6, Weston-4 and Ethan-2). We have 2 labs (Blue and Dakota). We love the beach, outlet malls (that might just be me who loves this), holidays and did I mention the beach?

Proudest moment? Marrying Justin (11.04.00) and the birth of our 3 children. Seeing my dad healed from cancer was pretty awesome too.
