Kidville
Kidville!
Opening on September 11 & 12, 2010 is a new, state-of-the-art youth center at Northeast called "Kidville!" A place where kids ages Kindergarten - 5th grade can meet friends, have fun and learn about God. We invite you to check it out! The new Kidville space (phase two) for 3 -5 year olds opens in November. The nursery will be ready when our new, 2,000 seat auditorium opens Easter 2011!

KIDVILLE taking shape!
I took a tour last week of the new elementary ministry phase of our construction called "
KIDVILLE
." Many of the plans and dreams from years ago are taking shape and are now a reality!
As you can see in some of the photos taken, bright colors, wide hallways, and large classrooms
TRIPLE
our original square footage
!
As we get closer to opening Kidville, let's remember that
Kidville is much more than just a building
. In many ways, it's a fresh start of connecting more kids to God.
I firmly believe the best days for the children's ministry at Northeast (Kidville) are just around the corner!
To begin the process of making this new journey, many aspects of our ministry have to evolve; many of those have little to do with a new building.
It's more to do with each of our hearts and minds.
I hope that all parents, kids and volunteers will join with me in a commitment of excellence in ministry as we look ahead to the opening of Kidville. May we not view Kidville as just "the new toy" that loses its luster after a time and also loses its appeal. My prayer is that Kidville will eventually be an integral piece of the partnership we hope to have with moms and dads as they disciple their children. While I hope it will serve as an exciting place for kids to worship God and learn more about a relationship with His Son, I also pray that the lessons heard each weekend will find their way into our homes, our schools and in our community.
What we do during our weekend and mid week programs should only be a portion of the impact Kidville has on our children. I'm excited to see where God leads us all!!!
