Parent Time:

This month, we are teaching our preschoolers to “Learn to do what is right, “(Isaiah 1:17). As parents you want your children to do what’s right. However, as you may have already discovered, you can’t do it alone. With tiny ones, it is hard to imagine a day that they are not constantly with us; a day when we are not the only ones pouring into their emotional and spiritual development; a day when that little voice is not calling our name (constantly). But that day is coming and sooner than we think.

Someday soon, our little treasures are going to look elsewhere for wisdom, for advice, for acceptance, for love. They are going to seek other adults to speak into their lives. Who do you want these adults to be? Believe it or not, you have influence on who will fill this need. Surround your child with loving adults who genuinely care for your child, who want to see their relationship with Christ grow. Extended family members like aunts, uncles, and grandparents are obvious choices. However, don’t forget those leaders the church may provide: small group leaders, friends from your small group. These relationships can have an amazing impact on your child’s spiritual growth.

Some important info to pass along…

Kidville Weekends

All kids will be promoted on June 9/10 weekend. You will be receiving a letter in the mail if your child is graduating from the Nursery to the Park or from the Park to Kidville Theater. That letter should be in the mail next week. If you child in entering Kindergarten for the 2012-2013 school year we will need a new enrollment form that you can get by clicking here or picking up at the News Stand.

Summer Camp!!

Sign ups are underway! We are sponsoring 2 weeks of camp this year!! June 3-8, and July 22-27. But DON'T WAIT to register! The July week is already at 88% capacity!! Log on to www.whitemillschristiancamp.com for more information or pick up a brochure in Kidville Lobby.

Summer Alert!!!

We have a display in the lobby that will allow current volunteers and hopefully new volunteers to sign-up for a weekend to help in Kidville this summer. That’s right…we’re looking for ALL PARENTS to commit to at least 1 weekend service this summer. If that happens, our needs will be met. And what a way to try out serving in Kidville without the long term commitment!! Who knows, you might actually like it and want to be a regular this coming fall!!!
