When did you first start attending Northeast and why did you stay? 1994 – Every week, Pat and I felt like Bob was looking in our living room window to get his sermon material!   It spoke to our hearts every week.  We had also never been to a church before that had “children’s church” for our kids.  They loved coming, and we could go into our service by ourselves and actually pay attention to the teaching.

What or who inspires you? People who are truly Holy Spirit led!  They amaze me, and keep me striving to know God more.

What’s your idea of a perfect day? Anywhere with family and friends, laughing, being kind to one another – preferably in sunny weather on a beach or by a pool!

What was your first step in getting involved at Northeast? I jumped right in to the “preferred pathway” that NECC suggested for us.  We went to the membership class, then maturity, then gifts, then evangelism.  While we were making our way through these classes, we also started serving on Sunday morning.  We wanted to be greeters.  They really needed servers.  I was scared to death.  I was afraid of dropping all of those communion trays.  But, we said OK.  Really, how bad could it be, even if I tripped and dropped them all. (And, by the way, 16 years later, never dropped a tray!)  Then joined a Life Group.  Then Women’s Bible Studies.

Your biggest indulgence? Oh, I am almost afraid to say!  I love Wrestling…..I DVR ever show….(Monday Night RAW, Tuesday NXT, Thursday Superstars, Friday SMACKDOWN)….and when they are anyplace close live, I go to the shows.   (My daughter and son got me hooked, and it is what we do together!)

What do you think makes a good leader, someone that you’ll follow? Humble, Authentic, Team Builder (pulls out the best in everyone)

What has God been teaching you lately? Grace

If you could ask God one question, what would it be? Why people have to live through such horrible circumstances!

If you could be on a reality TV show, what would it be? Something to do with Wrestling!

What or who makes you laugh? People Falling Down!

What are two things always in your fridge? Cheese and Cheese

In a few short lines, here is my faith story… I was a “wild child”; at 36, I was struggling in my marriage, and partying to much to hide the pain; I knew who God was, He was my Savior, but He wasn’t my Lord – and I had no idea there was any difference in the two; came to NECC – learned the difference.  It changed who I was, saved my marriage and the direction of my family.
