When did you first start attending Northeast and why did you stay? During the summer of 2009, I had just moved to Louisville from Cincinnati and my husband and I were looking for a church. Northeast was the third church we visited in Louisville and we knew our search was over! We immediately felt comfortable and wanted to stay!
What was your first step in getting involved at Northeast? Joining a “Newlyweds” Life Group!
What or who inspires you? My parents because of their amazing faith and unconditional love.
What do you think makes a good leader, someone that you’ll follow? Someone with integrity who is able to stand up for what they believe in.
What has God been teaching you lately? His timing is perfect!
If you could ask God one question, what would it be? Why certain families face more hardships than others.
If you could be on a reality TV show, what would it be? Amazing Race
Your biggest indulgence? A new pair of shoes!
What or who makes you laugh? My husband and the show Modern Family.
What are two things always in your fridge? Oranges and chocolate pudding
In a few short lines, here is my faith story… I was raised in a loving home and grew up as a Preacher’s Kid. I was baptized when I was 11 and knew at a young age that I wanted to be in ministry. I went to Bible College and learned more about who I was in Christ and how we’re all called to serve. Story still developing…

· Bible verse? Deuteronomy 6:5 “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.”
· Time of day? 8:00pm – 10:00pm
· Movie? The Chronicles of Narnia series.
· Book (besides the Bible)? Mere Discipleship by Lee Camp
· Childhood TV show? Saved by the Bell
· Websites? Facebook and Hip2Save.com
· Sport/Team? University of Louisville Basketball
· Vacation place? All I really need is a beach.
· Types of music? Anything but country!
· Restaurant? Mimi’s Cafe
Describe your job at Northeast, and why you love what you do. I get to work with an AMAZING team of volunteers who love the Lord and who are passionate about welcoming and serving guests at Northeast! How could I not love my job?!
How long have you been working at Northeast? Since March 2011
Retirement dream? Close to wherever my family is.
What was your first job? I was a waitress at a small diner in Ohio. It was right across the street from the town’s only stoplight!
What’s one goal you have for the next year? To buy a house.
Name 3 things on your ‘bucket’ list. Travel through Europe with my husband, return to Africa, and be a contestant on the Amazing Race!
Proudest moment? Being my sister’s Maid of Honor in her wedding and watching my husband graduate with his Master’s degree after lots of hard work!
