Serve Ministries

Serving internally at Northeast allows you to feel a part of our church community and
will impact your life forever. You can meet other people, get involved and especially help
serve newcomers and the unchurched who visit our church. We have designed our
ministries to help you connect relationally and serve others with your God-given gifts.

Apple Patch Ministry
We have coupled with the Apple Patch Community to enable these special needs adults the ability to attend church with their peers on a weekly basis. If you are interested in serving in this ministry, please contact Diane Lavenson at 836-4518.

Audio & Backstage Team
Sound board operators (experience helpful) and backstage sound crew (no previous training necessary). Contact Geoff Gittli at 212-5226 or geoff.gittli@necchurch.org.

BODI (Believers in Organ Donation Involvement)
Assists those who are going through the transplant process by visiting them in the hospital, listening, and sharing experiences with families, along with educating others about organ donation. Conact Kyleen Kelly at 425-9906 or kmbkkelly@aol.com.

Campus Keepers
This ministry serves by keeping the grounds and landscape beds clean and beautiful by adopting an area. Families, couples, singles and life group volunteers team up together to keep the church grounds spruced up! Contact Rodney Burris at 212-1649 or rodney.burris@necchurch.org.

Drama Team
Acting, directing and writing. Auditions for adults are held every year in the spring and fall. Workshops offered. Contact Vicki Cherry at 212-5229 or vicki.cherry@necchurch.org.

Elementary (3rd-5th grade) Life Groups
During the school year, third - fifth graders will meet each Wednesday as a life group . . . something new for this ministry! These groups are designed to build friendships and learn from God’s Word. Elementary (The Club)
We offer three identical services which include videos, large group teaching and worship. We are looking for Large Group Teachers, Worship Leaders, Technical Volunteers, and Supply/Curriculum Volunteers. Contact Barbara Landgrave at 212-5228 or barbara.landgrave@necchurch.org.

Elevate Youth Basketball & Cheerleading
Registration for these leagues starts in mid-September with games beginning in January. If you are interested in coaching or volunteering, please contact Chris Booth at 212-5211 or chris.booth@necchurch.org.

Events Team - Know Ministries
We will be planning growth events for Northeast which will include retreats, seminars and off-site programs. If interested in being part of this team, please contact Rosemarie Arsenault at 212-5248 or rosemarie.arsenault@necchurch.org.

Greeters Ministry
Greeters assist and greet visitors and members who attend services by making them feel welcome and comfortable as they arrive. We greet people with a loving smile or handshake to prepare their hearts for worshipping God. Contact Tom Black at 212-5249 or tom.black@necchurch.org.

Guest Services
We try to answer all of your questions regarding Northeast. We are centrally located in the foyer at Guest Services. We want our visitors and members to get all the information they need. We welcome outgoing and energetice people with big smiles. Contact Laurelee Rubsch at 420-1932.

High School Ministry
We are looking for adults to come and partner with us in mentoring, discipling, and building relationships with High School Students. We have opportunities for adults in our weekend program at 7pm on Sundays, our Life Group ministry, and various other capacities. Infant - High School Operations Team
We need greeters, database/student tracking, event planning and event registration for nursery, preschool, elementary, middle and high school. Contact Barbara Landgrave at 212-5228 or barbara.landgrave@necchurch.org.

Journey Care
Facilitators lead groups that support persons recovering from life challenges or seeking to grow in life skills. While not professional counselors, Encouragers listen and support individuals. Volunteers may do either or both after going through a training process. To ask questions or sign up for training, contact Lora Mercurio at 212-0432 or lora.mercurio@necchurch.org.

Life Group Leader
Perhaps the best way to get involved is to start a new LIFE GROUP. Leaders are ordinary Christians who are members of Northeast, possess a sincere love for Jesus, have a genuine love for others, and live a life patterned after Scripture. Does this sound like you? Lighting/Projection/Video Team
Light board operators (training available), light crew, assist with repairs and adjustments, video and Power Point presentations. Contact Jason Shreve at 212-5230 or jason.shreve@necchurch.org.

Marketing Team
This team seeks to creatively and effectively introduce Northeast Christian Church to our community. The team is in need of experienced graphic designers, photographers, printers, copywriters, website designers and website maintenance volunteers. Medical Team
Provides a team of medical professionals to respond to emergencies at Northeast during church services. You may serve the service you attend. Please contact Tom Black at 212-5249 or tom.black@necchurch.org.

Middle School Life Groups
During the school year, Middle School groups meet every Wednesday night from 6:30 - 8:00 pm at the church. These groups are designed to build friendships and learn from God’s Word. If you are interested in leading a group, please contact Jon Wren at 212-5232 or jon.wren@necchurch.org.

Middle/High School Hospitality Team
We need volunteers to help provide food for special events, weekend retreats, coffee houses, meetings and appreciation dinners. Contact Barbara Landgrave at 212-5228 or barbara.landgrave@necchurch.org.

Middle/High School Musical Arts Team
We are looking for instrumentalists and vocalists. If you like to sing or play an instrument, please contact Ben Sullivan at 212-5235 or ben.sullivan@necchurch.org for auditions.

Middle/High School Tech Team
We are looking for adults to lead teams of students in all areas including soundboard operations (experience needed), light board operations (training provided), videography, photography, and Power Point. Please contact Jon Wren at 212-5232 or jon.wren@necchurch.org.

Nursery (Promiseland)
Greeters, Hospitality, Teachers and Caregivers are needed for all three services for newborn – 36 months. Contact Mary Clift at 212-5222 or mary.clift@necchurch.org.

PB&J Ministry
This ministry serves food on Saturdays and Sundays to homeless men at St. Johns Center feeding 80-100 men on each day. Many families serve together with their children. To learn more about the PB&J ministry, please contact Erik Bergman at 290-6261.

Prayer Team - Know Ministries
What we need is the willingness to cover our efforts in sincere prayer at every step. From starting new areas of ministry, to finding leaders, equipping people, even the classes we teach. Pre-School (Promiseland)
Parent Volunteers, Small Group Leaders, Greeters and Worship Leaders are needed for all three services for ages three – pre-school. Contact Tamara Campbell at 212-5233 or tamara.campbell@necchurch.org.

Registration Team - Know Ministries
We need volunteers to cover the Know booth before and after weekend services. All you need is a smile and willingness to answer questions. You'll assist people with registrations for studies, retreats and events. Both men and women are needed. Please call Rosemarie Arsenault at 212-5248 or rosemarie.arsenault@necchurch.org.

Security Team
This ministry provides additional nightly lock up and security of the church and campus grounds. Contact Rodney Burris at 212-1649 or rodney.burris@necchurch.org.

Servants Behind The Service (SBTS)
Work behind the scenes to ensure that services run smoothly by dividing and conquering a variety of tasks such as communion prep, tape ministry, baptistry cleaning, stuffing bulletins, and communion prep and clean-up. Contact Pat and Beverly Gillespie, 426-6668 or receptionist@necchurch.org.

Servers Ministry
This ministry is composed of teams of people who pass out bulletins, receive the offering, and serve communion at each service. Contact the Saturday Coach, Mark Mercurio, 292-2643 or markmercurio@unidial.com. The Sunday coach is Pat Wingfield, 241-6737 or patatcrossroads@bellsouth.net.

Stage Design

Study Support Team - Know Ministries
We need help in getting things ready for the class before it begins, making sure everything is in the classroom that is needed, working with the teacher with any needs they may have, taking care of registration, attendance, hospitality, etc. during class. SWAT Team (Service With A Tool)
This ministry is for anyone that is handy doing general repair work such as carpentry, painting, plumbing and electrical maintenance on the church campus. Contact Rodney Burris at 212-1649 or rodney.burris@necchurch.org.

Teaching Team - Know Ministries
We are always looking for gifted teachers. If you have the gift of teaching and would like to investigate further how to serve in this area, plaese contact Laura Wingfield at 212-5247 or laura.wingfield@necchurch.org.

Traffic Ministry
Serves by protecting our church members and guests with emphasis on providing safety. We manage traffic flow in an efficient manner and help ease the vehicle and pedestrian congestion during scheduled services. Contact Tom Black at 212-5249 or tom.black@necchurch.org.

Usher Ministry
Ushers play a vital role in making sure our guests are welcome and comfortable. They provide assistance to members and guests before and during services by locating seats and assisting with overflow. Contact Gary Wood at 253-983 or gwood@aacoa.com.

Visitation Team
Visitors are part of the Journey Care ministry of Northeast Christian Church. They visit people in hospitals, care facilities and in their homes. This is both Connecting and Serving by showing the love of Christ to the lonely or hurting. Contact Ray Overman at 245-6789, 550-8212 or theovermans@aol.com.

Website Maintenance
We are looking for volunteers to help make updates to our website content (uploading the weekend’s sermon, keeping the calendar of events current, and other minor maintenance). For more information, contact Melody Mathews at 212-5231 or melody.mathews@necchurch.org.

Worship Team
