Impact Community

Northeast is a church that not only serves inside our church walls but also takes the lead in serving others outside our church within our community. We exist internally but are externally focused. We want to be engaged in the life of our community and we invite you to team up with us!

Trikes for Tikes

Trikes for Tikes is in need of gently used and/or new bicycles and will then distribute them to children and adults who are in need of a bicycle. This ministry currently partners with Habitat for Humanity to provide bicycles at every Louisville Habitat House Dedication for the children in the family.

Mom's Closet Resource Center

Mom's Closet provides a helping hand to single mothers who need and desire to improve current life conditions. Volunteers are the backbone of all the services provided to these families and you can become a part of this exciting ministry. The founder of Beijo bags has created a purse just for Mom’s Closet!  100% of the proceeds benefit this ministry.  Members can go to Mom’s Closet to pick out a bag.  They are $85/each. 

PB&J Ministry

This ministry prepares 150 sack lunches at Northeast every Saturday and Sunday and serves them to the homeless men at St. Johns Center in downtown Louisville. Many families serve together with their children. Help fulfill this ministry mission to serve the homeless population by providing meals, clothing, and supplies; and share Abundant Life that God promises with others in need.

BODI (Believers in Organ Donation Involvement)

BODI assists those who are going through a transplant process by visiting them in the hospital, listening and sharing experiences with families along with educating others about organ donation. 

Balloon Angels

The mission of Balloon Angels is “To lift the spirits of hospitalized children with the gift of a helium filled balloon”.  Join this team as they visit children at Kosair Hospital & UK Children's Hospital who are facing some of life’s biggest trials. You will be amazed how a balloon can brighten the day of a sick child and their parents!

Cars Ministry

This ministry helps families struggling financially with minor auto repairs. We are also looking for those who would like to, or know someone who would like to, volunteer as mechanics and/or donate a vehicle and change someone's life.  Donations are considered a charitable contribution and donors receive the full "fair market value."

Comfort Cover's mission is to partner with Norton Suburban Hospital to provide comforting blankets to people confined to the hospital for three days or more.  We wish to provide a comforting symbol of God’s love and concern.


Heart Hats

This ministry puts smiles on the faces of women who have lost their hair due to cancer treatments.  The team meets the second Tuesday of every month at Northeast to make the hats and then distributes them to hospitals and cancer organizations.  Recently, a woman who received hats as a patient joined the ministry and is now sharing some of her own hat and scarf ideas.  Come learn how to make these hats and impact the lives of these courageous women!

Prom Project

Help send a young girl to her prom! This ministry provides formal attire to junior and senior girls wishing to attend their prom, but who lack the financial resources.  We help to make their day extra special by hosting a free prom boutique every March.  Please go to www.promprojectky.com to see all of the different ways you can help!

Samaritan's Purse: Operation Christmas Child

This is an "all hands on deck" opportunity for Northeast and thousands of other churches across the country. You can help with this ministry by filling a shoe box, serving at the collection center, and packing up all of the boxes that will be sent to other countries.
