Care Ministry

We are here for you. Nobody should ever have to go through this alone or isolated.

We don’t have all the answers but we will walk together through this.

No strings attached, even if you don’t come to church on Sundays or ever become a Stakeholder, we want you to know we are here for you.
Below are several ways for you to receive care and support. If you have any questions, or need to speak directly with a pastor, feel free to contact us at 502-426-6668.

Need Prayer?

We understand that there are times when you need some extra care and prayer. Whatever your situation, we invite you to complete a prayer request. When we receive your request, our prayer team and ministry staff will begin praying for you.

Submit A Prayer

If you feel the need to speak to someone immediately, please call 502-426-6668 for instructions on how to connect with our on-call pastor of the week. Please stay on the line to get complete information. If you’re interested in praying for others at Northeast, please visit our Prayer Request page using the link below.

Mental Health

Statistics show us at least 1 out of 5 Americans battle a mental health issue each year. That means 5 out of 5 Americans love someone battling a mental health issue. It’s time to talk about mental health!

Northeast has discussed stigmas that come with these issues, spiritual practices that have proven helpful for people in our church, and what to do when it seems like nothing helps… even God.

Care Groups

Did you land on this page because you’re struggling? Chances are you don’t want to be here. We understand. But there is power in embracing your struggles. This page is a place for you to find people who share similar struggles. Check out some of the care groups we currently offer.

Grief Group

  • Grief Group meets the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month on the Brownsboro Campus. We gather in the Student Center Room 210 from 6:30-8:00.
  • After the loss of a loved one many people feel so shattered and alone. Grief can be such an emotional rollercoaster. Many individuals and families struggle to find support, encouragement and understanding. Whether your loss was yesterday or years ago, the Grief Support Group at Northeast provides a loving, confidential and safe environment to share your loss story.
  • Northeast has partnered with First Hour Grief Response and Camberwell Grief Sanctuary to provide the tools and resources needed to help those struggling in their grief journey. Join with us as we learn how to move forward in grief when it seems like the rest of the world is just moving on.

NECC Cancer Support Assistance

  • When do we meet: Monthly
  • Location: Northeast – Brownsboro Campus
  • We are a group of survivors within Northeast that wish to be a support to those recently diagnosed with Cancer or those currently in treatment. It is our wish, that the body of Christ reach out and be an active participant, alongside someone facing Cancer. The needs of support may vary but this diagnosis gives a common bond. Through quarterly meetings, we will gather to update the groups’ effectiveness and review new areas of need.
    • Areas of volunteer interest are as follows:
    • Hand Written Notes
    • Prayer Warriors
    • Phone Call Support
    • Offer Rides to Appointments
    • Meals
    • Care Giver Support
    • Record Keeper
  • 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 tells us – Blessed is the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in all affliction with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.

Divorce Care Group

  • When do we meet: Weekly, Tuesdays from 6:30 – 8:30pm
  • Location: Northeast – Brownsboro Campus
  • Are you feeling lonely? Ashamed? Depressed? Embarrassed? Angry? Hurt? Afraid? Through the divorce process, we experience all these feelings and it seems like no one understands, which leaves you feeling deeply isolated. All the sudden you’ve become one of ‘those’ people – a divorcee’. This is most likely unchartered territory and you may not know how to handle it. The Divorce Care class teaches that those feelings are normal, and even a necessary response to the healing process. Come connect with other people that are experiencing the same feelings as you! If you’re going through a divorce, or ever have, and feel like you need healing or a community, come check out Divorce Care.

Northeast Foster Care and Adoption Group

  • When do we meet: 4th Sunday of every month from 5:00 – 6:30pm
  • Location: Northeast – Clifton Campus
  • If you have ever considered foster care/adoption or being a part of serving others that are in a vulnerable place. We have a group that is on the ground floor at Northeast for foster and adoptive families. You can check it out on our Facebook group page!
