Easter At Northeast

Help bring Life To The ‘Ville this Easter at Northeast Christian Church.

That'a right, we want you to bring your peeps! Don't hesitate to ask your coworker, friend, or neighbor to Easter at Northeast. We have a place for you this Easter! When you bring your peeps, you are helping others locally and globally! At Northeast Christian Church this Easter, just filling a seat will provide meals for hungry children locally and medical care for people globally. The Love The ‘Ville church is partnering with Dare to Care and Earth Mission Asia to make a difference both in Louisville, KY and Myanmar. Northeast has pledged to fund the school pantries for Dare To Care and provide funding to complete a medical facility in a remote area of Myanmar for each seat filled during their 8 Easter services. That’s a total of 8000 seats to fill, which will mean about 4 meals and $6.00 per seat.

Dare To Care

Dare To Care School Pantries - A program that will feed students over the weekend.

Last year we partnered with Dare to Care and pledged 42 meals for each seat filled for Easter weekend. This year, we asked Dare to Care what are their needs? Dare to Care says they continue to hear that the [School Pantry] program has numerous benefits both for the children and families who participate, as well as for the schools. A parent whose family received food shared that the school pantry helped after she was diagnosed with breast cancer and could no longer work. Another parent looked to the school pantry to help make ends meet after unexpected home repairs were required and income was reduced due to being unemployed for seven weeks. A high school student explained, “It helps a lot because we barely have food at home. My mom doesn’t make a lot of money and doesn’t receive food stamps. She is only able to spend $50 on food once a month.”

Earth Mission Asia

Global - Earth Mission Asia - Remote Medical Clinic

Dan Ryan from Earth Mission Asia expresses that “over 2,500 people will gain access to healthcare (who are within 3-hr walking distance). The clinic will be staffed by Karen medics and our students. This gives the students practical experience with more responsibility for the patients while under supervision before they transition to internships at various clinics. We are very excited about the immediate impact that this clinic will have.” Providing funding to complete this remote medical clinic will cut the time down to 3 hours.
