If you're wondering if your kids and teens will love this place . . . please take a moment and click on the links for each of our ministries listed on the right to find out more. We're committed to helping kids and students take steps towards Christ and the plans God has for their lives - and have a ton of fun while we're at it!

Northeast's goal for all our family ministries is to "Think Orange" where Family (red = heart) + Church (yellow = light) come together, and "the two combined influences make a greater impact than just two influences alone." Therefore, one of our biggest goals is to equip and work alongside parents to influence all our kids for Jesus.

For parents, each week there is a take home guide in the Kidville Lobby for Preschool and Elementary students. You'll know the "bottom line" of what your kids are learning and also get ideas for conversations and activities at home. There is also a parent email that goes out each month with the latest events and news that you need to know for all our age groups. Please update your information in our database here if you are not receiving this email.

We are gearing up for an amazing summer in our Student Ministries for Middle & High School students! Here's what this summer will look like for our students:

Summer Wednesdays - We'll kickoff Summer Wednesdays on June 7th with a great time of community with Raising Canes and Kona Ice! Each Wednesday from June 7 through August 9, our MSM and HSM students will be able to come together for their own times of worship, fun, and community-building from 6:30-8:30 at the Brownsboro Campus.

Student Section - Every Sunday over the summer, from June 4 through July 30, we'll have a Student Section in our Main Auditorium at both Sunday services. The Student Section will be located on the floor section close to the baptistry and is open to all MSM and HSM students.

Summer Serving - We are excited to offer several Sunday morning Service Projects for our MSM and HSM students to participate in together. These will take place in the Student Center during both Sunday service hours on the following dates:

♦ July 2 - making and packing burritos for Burrito Riders Louisville
♦ July 16 - writing encouragement notes for Partner Schools Teacher Luncheon
♦ July 30 - taking over PB&J Ministry
♦ August 13 - packing back to school supplies for Partner Schools Backpack Drive

Student Small Groups

Our goal as a Next Gen team is that every child and student at Northeast is KNOWN. The very best way to accomplish that is through our Small Groups. In Small Groups, your student will get to know a group of their peers and connect with leaders who genuinely care for them. Small Groups are available for all students in Kindergarten through High School. Online registration is available for any group by clicking the links below:

Elementary Groups - weekends at each of our three services in Kidville

MSM Groups - Wednesday nights in the Student Center

HSM Groups - Wednesday nights at various Houses near the Brownsboro Campus

Visiting Kidville / Child CheckIn

If it's your first time here, or you are just visiting with us, we would LOVE to have your child check out the programming we offer for their specific age group. We offer identical classes for Nursery through 5th Grade at each service. During the school year, Middle School students have their own service at the 9:00 hour on Sunday, and High Schoolers have their service at the 11:00 hour on Sunday. Please see the Stu Min Summer info above for MSM & HSM programming over the summer.

Whenever you visit with us, please see a Hospitality Volunteer at the CheckIn station in the Nursery, Kidville NewsStand, or Student Center Lobby. They will get some info from you for your child, give you a Visitor Tag which you will use to pick up your child after service, and will show you to your child's specific group location. If you've been here a couple times and would like to expedite your check-in process, feel free to complete and turn in a Children's Ministry Enrollment Form. Submitting this form will allow your child to be assigned to a group specific to their age, and will activate check-in for you at the computer kiosks. Click HERE to download the Children's Ministry Enrollment Form.

Inclusion Ministry

The Inclusion Ministry at Northeast offers assistance to families with elementary aged children who have special needs. During the 9:00am service, children who have special needs are paired up with an adult buddy. Our goal in Inclusion Ministry is for children with special needs to be as fully included in their age group as possible. For more information on our Inclusion Ministry, please download our Frequently Asked Questions document. To begin the process of registering your child with the Inclusion Ministry, please download and submit the Inclusion Ministry Enrollment Form. If you are interested in volunteering in our Inclusion Ministry as a Buddy, please contact becky.schroeder@necchurch.org.

Emergency Plan

In the unlikely event a campus-wide emergency takes place, PLEASE DO NOT immediately attempt to pick up your child(ren). We understand that as parents this is counter intuitive, however know that it is our goal to ensure the safety of everyone who comes to Northeast. Our volunteers and staff are trained on how to respond in the event of emergency, so you can be assured they will care for your child(ren) as if they there their own. Below you will find details related to when and where you will be able to pick up your child(ren) once an all-clear is given. At that time, you will be able to collect your child(ren) following the normal check-out procedure, so please bring your pick up tag to the appropriate area.

In the event of a lock down, all children’s areas will be locked until notified by security that it is safe to release your children.

In the event of an evacuation/fire:

  • Nursery -- children will go to the Preschool Park.
  • Pre-School -- children will go to the seating area outside of the Nursery & Fireside Room.
  • Elementary -- children will go to the Worship Center lobby, with K-2 assembling in the seating area across from the Women's Restroom and 3rd-5th grades assembling in the seating area across from the Men's Restroom.
  • Middle / High School -- students will go to the Cafe in the Worship Center lobby.

In the event of a storm related issue:

  • Nursery -- children will go to the Men's Restroom located on the Nursery side of the lobby.
  • Pre-School -- children will go to room #119 (an interior room within the Park).
  • Elementary -- K-2 children will assemble in room #106 (interior room in lower Kidville) while 3rd-5th children will assemble in the downstairs Kidville restrooms and hallway.
  • Middle / High School -- students will go to the Lower Level of the Student Center.
