Children

Grace Kids

Grace Kids is a church for children. It provides a safe place for them to come after school and on the weekends. They provide evening meals for those who come and show God’s love to all. On the weekend they have a Sunday service where they fellowship and disciple the kids.

Portland Promise Center

Portland Promise Center enriches the lives of children physically, educationally, and spiritually. The Early Child Education Program offers preschoolers a safe place to explore, learn, and grow while equipping them with skills they will need in later years. Their community programs provide a space for families to come together and a safe space for youth.

Prison

Prisoners Hope

UP for Women and Children is Louisville’s first women’s only day shelter. Their mission is to provide a healthy, safe environment for homeless women and children to come to. The partner with different organizations to prove with resources and services they would otherwise not have access to.

Prodigal

Prodigal Ministries provides a safe place to those recently released from prison. Along with housing they provide, spiritual guidance, mental support, and resources on how to reintegrate into society. They want to equip the men and women in their program to lead crime-free, self sufficient lives and experience the love of Jesus.

Women and Family

BsideU for Life

BsideU for Life provides services to women facing crises pregnancies. These include counseling, ultrasounds, supplies, and classes. Through these programs BsideU hopes to provide the women with a safe place to come to and be equipped for their next phase of life and experience God’s love.

Scarlet Hope

Scarlet Hope shares the love of Jesus to women in the adult entertainment industry. They build positive relationships with women currently working in the industry and have a program for those that have left the industry which provides them with life skills and training for a new career. They seek to engage, empower, and equip women to be who God created them to be.

Sparc Hope

Sparc Hope serves single parents in the Louisville area. Those in their program have a commitment to pursue education while working and have access to their food pantry and clothing closet to help offset costs. Sparc Hope also connects them with a financial advisor and other resources to help equip the parents and break the cycle of poverty.

Homeless and Hungry

Highpoint

Highpoint seeks to bring wholeness to LaGrange and surrounding and communities by meeting needs and sharing the gospel. They serve families who are caught in a cycle of poverty by providing them with food, clothing, and life skill classes. Besides basic needs they also meet spiritual needs and hold a worship service on Thursday evenings.

Led by His Love

Led by His Love goes out into the community on Tuesday nights to the homeless campsites. They handout food, hygiene kits, and clothing to those who need it. In the colder months they also collect blankets, tents, and sleeping bags to help keep the homeless a little warmer.

Lifeline

Lifeline provides food packs and resources to communities all around the world. At their Louisville facility individuals and teams can pack food packs that will be shipped to those in need. Along with receiving everything in the container the community will also keep the container to turn into a business to help their local economy.

PB&J

The PB&J ministry started as a kingdom project at Northeast. Every Saturday and Sunday a team makes dozens of sandwiches and food bags that are delivered to St. John Center. They then deliver them to people on the streets.

Re:Center

Re:Center acts a women’s shelter during the day and then in the evening turns into a men’s overnight shelter. They have a recovery program for homeless men and provide longer term housing, case management, and classes that help them with life skills and having a job.

Eastern Area Community Ministry

Eastern Area Community Ministries (EACM) serves families in the 40018, 40027, 40059, 40222, 40223, 30241, 40242, 40243, and 40245 postcodes. They provide emergency food and financial services so that families can keep food on the table and stay in their homes. They also have life skill classes including financial literacy, professional skills, and English language classes.

Construction Team

Our Construction Team is made up of over 60 people within the Northeast Family. They serve families around the community who need wheelchair ramps, fences, handrails, other house repairs, and they serve at our Outreach days throughout the year. One of their goals as they work with local partners is to keep homeowners in their homes and not burdened with the costs of repairs.

Heart Hats

Heart Hats makes hats for those who have lost their hair due to cancer treatment. Every hat is prayed over and a not of encouragement is attached before delivering to local hospitals and cancer treatment facilities.

Kentucky Refugee Ministries

Kentucky Refugee Ministries provides housing, counseling, ESL classes, job training, and more to refugee families. They partner with faith-based organizations to co-sponsor families and walk alongside them during their first three months. They hope to be a welcoming place for displaced people and to instill hope by providing respect, trust, and hospitality.

Trikes for Tikes

Trikes for Tikes collects and repairs bikes to give to those in need. They partner with a variety of organizations to identify recipients. If you have any unwanted or unused bike you can drop it off at Northeast next to the trailer by the Student Center.
