Jesus’s final words in the book of Matthew to his followers were “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

Jesus’ commands us to make disciples of all people and that is the mission of the Spiritual Formation Team. Our goal is to help everyone become a disciple that can make disciples. For us to do that we all need space to be with Jesus, spend time becoming like Jesus and do what Jesus did. This kind of transformation happens in community. Groups are an intentional authentic community where we go to become like Jesus.
