In John 9, we meet a man who was blind from birth—a town beggar—until he encountered Jesus and received his sight. What should have been a joyous celebration turned into controversy. The religious leaders refused to accept the miracle and pressured the man to call Jesus a sinner. They even questioned his parents, trying to discredit the truth.

Eventually, the man was outcast, but Jesus sought him out, revealed His identity, and the man responded with worship. This powerful story contrasts two paths: the blind man moving toward spiritual sight, and the Pharisees sinking deeper into spiritual blindness—creating their own version of truth and rejecting who Jesus really was.

  • Physical sight is a gift, but spiritual sight is life-changing.
  •  Cancel culture isn’t new—the Pharisees tried to silence the truth.
  • The blind man’s courage shows what happens when you choose Jesus over approval.
  •  Spiritual pride can blind us more than physical disability.
  • Jesus finds those who are cast out and reveals Himself to them.
