What would it look like for the Church to become a place where Louisville’s dividing lines no longer separate us?
In this service, we celebrate two baptisms and the official launch of Northeast Christian Church’s Grinstead Campus. Pastor Tyler then begins our new sermon series, “A Series for the Ville: The Unchanging Truth of God for the Ever-Changing Needs of Our City,” with a message titled “A City Divided.”
Together, we examine some of the walls of hostility that have divided Louisville, including partisan politics, denominationalism, racial prejudice, and socioeconomic separation. While our city may be divided, Scripture reminds us that the Church is uniquely equipped to demonstrate a different way—one centered on Jesus.
True unity does not require us to erase our differences. Instead, God brings people together through shared truth, a shared mission, and shared forgiveness. When Jesus is at the center, those differences can strengthen the Church and help us become a powerful picture of His love.

What if East and West worshiped together, Black and white shared communion, rich and poor called one another family, and Republicans and Democrats gathered around the same Savior? There are no sides at the cross—only level ground where we kneel before Jesus and go on mission together.
