This weekend was a special weekend for our Worship & Prayer service joined by the choir.

The message centered on one key question: What is the true source of your joy? Tyler challenged us to honestly examine where our emotions, time, money, and mental energy truly go, noting how easily we anchor our joy in fragile, temporary, or artificial things… circumstances, productivity, politics, technology, comparison, or control. Because these sources rise and fall with Christmas expectations and the heaviness many feel in our world today, they inevitably disappoint. Every earthly joy eventually disappoints, because every earthly object of joy is mortal.

But Jesus is the only source of joy that cannot be taken away. Drawing from Luke 2, Tyler emphasized the angel’s announcement of “good news of great joy for all people,” a joy that transcends circumstances, suffering, and every season of life. Real and lasting joy comes from drawing near to Jesus, like stepping close to a fire or into water, allowing His presence to shape how we process life rather than letting life’s circumstances shape our inner world. The service was an invitation to re-center your joy in Christ, stepping into the life, peace, and joy that flow from Him alone.
