While the congregation was spread across the city for School Blitz, Jay shared a powerful message from Jeremiah 29. In that chapter, God tells His people to “plant roots, build homes, and seek the peace of the city”—because they were going to be there for a while.
We’re called to have the same mindset. That’s why we are the Love the ‘Ville Church, because we’re not just here in the city, we’re here for the city serving, being the hands and feet of Jesus.
We’re reaching for shalom—a deep peace marked by healing, reconciliation, and restoration. Not just for ourselves, but for our neighbors, schools, and communities.
