What happens when faith becomes more cultural than transformational?
In week two of our “A Series for the Ville” series, Pastor Terrence challenges us to examine how Louisville’s cultural and religious divisions have shaped the Church—and our individual lives. Following Jesus requires more than participating in religious activities; it requires surrendering every part of ourselves to Him and allowing His Word to transform how we think and live.
Together, we explore four temptations that can keep us from experiencing genuine transformation:
– Embedded religiosity
– Cultural partiality
– Cognitive dissonance
– Generational disillusionment
Rather than simply inheriting a form of faith from our families, churches, or culture, we are called to develop a personal relationship with Jesus, submit our beliefs and preferences to God’s Word, and live out a faith that produces real fruit.
